Extra Credit!

Hey there all! Here is your chance for extra credit:

Find up to 10 primary articles on either Cochliomyia macellaria or Chrysomya rufifacies. Get the full articles in PDF format, and email them to me by the final. Each article is worth 5 points, for a maximum of 50 points extra credit.

Here are the answers to some questions I’ve already gotten:

1) Do we have to send you the full article, or can we send you the link to the article from the library website?

You MUST send me the full article, attached to an email in PDF format. It will not count if it’s just an abstract, a link, or a reference. Remember you can get any article emailed to you from the library by requesting it from Illiad.

2) Can we send you more than 10 articles?
Yep, you can send me as many articles as you want, but you will only get a maximum of 50 points. If you’re unsure if an article is primary, feel free to email me and ask about it, or send in extra articles just in case.

3) What is a primary resource?
A primary resource is an article about original research, written by the people who ran the research, and published in a peer reviewed journal. Everything else is secondary.

4) Can we send you articles after the final?
Nope. This is extra credit, and as such, I don’t take any late extra credit for any reason (yes, even University excused reasons. Yep, even that one you just thought of) at all, ever. If you send in an article late, I’ll ignore it. You can beg and plead all you want, you’re still not getting the points. Just get them in on time!

If you have any further questions, just ask. See you in class!
